About me

I have lived in the lovely village of Trewoon for over 20 years with my husband and two children. The village has a local shop, post office and park within walking distance from my home.

My house has a safe enclosed rear garden which is flat, making it ideal for physical play, a conservatory to use as a playroom, lounge, kitchen, and dining area that the children are also able to use. I will do activities with the children to include the seven areas of learning, set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage, which may include making their own sandwiches, baking, play dough, junk modeling, painting, dressing up & I have a lovely kitchen for the children to engage in role play.

I often go on trips with the children to toddler groups, Heligan gardens, Eden project, Newquay Zoo, and parks. I have been working with children for over 10 years and have lots of experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage. I've also been on several courses including EYFS core training (1,2 & 3), promoting positive behaviour, developing children's mathematical awareness through creative play, observation, assessment & planning.

My aim is to provide each child in my care with a happy, safe & stimulating environment for the children to be able to play, learn & rest, and for the children and their families to feel welcome in my home, because every child matters.

I started my career with children at a local pre-school where I stayed for 4 years before becoming a childminder. I've now been childminding for almost 7 years and have had lots of valuable experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and have attended lots of training courses including:

- Developing children's mathematical awareness through creative development.
